Jomsom Muktinath Trek Detail Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our staff, and transfer to the hotel. You can have a refreshment in the hotel. After refreshment. In this valley of temples, you will have your first overnight stay.
Day 02: Drive or Fly to Pokhara (823m) and trek to Ulleri (2000m) – 5 hours
After breakfast at the hotel, we will leave for Pokhara through a domestic flight that takes 35 minutes. Or you can have a 6 hours drive to Pokhara with beautiful scenes like the view of Langtang Himal, Trisuli river, Ganesh and many more. Pokhara is a city of lakes. Now we will be trekking for Ulleri up to 2000m for 5 hours. We are resting on the trekking route. We will be trekking along with the beautiful mountain views, rivers. Overnight stay at one of the teahouses of Ulleri village.
Day 03: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2750m) – 7 hours
After Breakfast at the Ulleri, we will be trekking for Ghorepani up to the altitude of 2750m. It takes 7 hours to reach Ghorepani. We will be trekking through an enchanting forest of thick Rhododendron, oaks, and pines. For an overnight stay, we will be staying at Ghorepani with the grand views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna south, and Nildiri’s peak. It is located in the middle of a forest cover with beautiful Rhododendron.
Day 04: Trek from Ghorepani to Tatopani (1190m) – 6 hours
Now we will be trekking from Ghorepani to Tatopani which takes about 6 to 7 hours. This day offers you an early morning journey to Poon Hill with a picturesque view of Tukuche peak, Nilgiri, Mount Dhaulagiri, Varaha Shikhar etc. Tatopani will stay overnight. Tatopani is famous for the natural hot spring which helps to cure skin diseases.
Day 05: Trek from Tatopani to Ghasa (2110) – 6 hours
After breakfast at Tatopani, we will start our further trip to Ghasa through the interesting village of Khobang with narrow trails. From Tatopani, it takes 6 hours to reach Ghasa which is at the elevation of 2110m. After some ascending and descending we will finally reach Ghasa. Overnight stay at the lodge of Ghasa.
Day 06: Trek from Ghasa to Marpha (2680m) – 5 hours
Trekking for 5 hours by a steep climbing through some amazing forest we will reach at Lete Khola and then finally Lete. Furthermore, trekking we will trek to Larjung Village. From Lurjung, we cross trail via Tukuche and then finally at Marpha. Marpha is famous for apple pie and known as ‘The Apple Capital’ of Nepal. Overnight stay at Marpha
Day 07: Trek from Marpha to Kagbeni (2810m) – 5 hours
After breakfast at Marpha, we will continue our journey along the village side. Marpha to Kagbeni trek distance is 15.5 kilometers. The trek route is flat, easy and gradually upward. It takes 5 to 6 hours to reach Kagbeni by foot depending on the walking speed. The elevation of Kagbeni is 2810m. Stay overnight at Kagbeni.
Day 08: Trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710m) – 6 hours
This day our journey starts with a special permit check-up and onwards to the riverbank of Kali Gandaki upstream. The distance from Kagbeni to Muktinath is 12.4 kilometers via Khingar and Jharkot village. Most people think Muktinath as a part of Upper Mustang but it is not.
Day 09: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2710m) – 6 hours
Muktinath is a famous Hindu as well as Buddhist destination. In the morning, we will visit the Muktinath Temple of Lord Vishnu. And trek downward up to Jomsom. Trekking from Muktinath to Jomsom takes 6 hours. Jomsom stands at the altitude of 2710m. It lies directly below the holy temple of Muktinath. Overnight stay at Jomsom
Day 10: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara
After breakfast at Jomsom, we will check in the Jomsom airport to catch the flight for Pokhara. The fight gives you a unique experience of the beautiful hills for 30 minutes. On this day we will explore the city of lake, Pokhara. This city offers beautiful lakes, museums, caves, and David fall. The nightlife of Pokhara is something you need to try.
Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu
After breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara, we will leave Pokhara and take a drive to Kathmandu. 7 to 8 hours of drive from Pokhara will take you to Kathmandu. After we reach Kathmandu, you will be transferred to a hotel. You can take some rest and then enjoy the evening life of Kathmandu and do some shopping.
Day 12: Final Departure
On this day of your journey, you will be saying goodbye to the mountains of Nepal. We will transfer you to the airport for your returning flight.
